Why have a Payroll Academy?
Finding good payroll administrators is a challenge, particularly when growing a service on a greenfield site as we did in Belfast. We also recognise the value of developing a ‘grow your own’ approach to people who work with us and investing in their skills.
As a result we developed the accredited Payroll Academy to cover:
- Fundamentals of payroll
- Fundamentals of our specific payroll contract
- Proof of competence
- Proof of accuracy
How is it delivered?
The course was designed by Capita L&D for delivery through a blend of styles, media and personnel, including:
- Classroom training - Capita trainers supported by Capita Payroll Managers
- E-learning supported - HRD & Payroll Solutions
- Coaching - Capita Payroll Managers and Team Leaders
- Distance learning – self study
- Work simulation – Capita test team
This blend of approaches helps maintain interest and motivation through the programme. Every section of the course was evaluated for external qualification, internal accreditation and business readiness sign-off. The business therefore knows that the learning achieved all of its objectives.
